About Me

Francesca Gamba is an actress, singer, filmmaker, and the founder of Intenso Films. She graduated from LaGuardia Arts School in New York (The Fame School) and also earned her Bachelor's in Arts Summa Cum Laude from Northwestern University, studying Film, Theatre, and Entrepreneurship with a focus on acting and directing for the screen. She is best known for writing, directing, and starring in Manic Memoirs (Big Apple Film Festival, award for best actress and film and got into 5 fests) and Sisters (got into Crypticon Horror Fest), and for writing and directing Mi Hija, starring Gemmy Quelliz (Miss Universe Latina Finalist) and Kaliani Chanelle (LaGuardia Drama). She also recently wrapped filming Midnight Momo, a SAG film where she played a heavy supporting role! Furthermore, she was a Pritzker Pucker Fellow, for the promotion of mental health through cinema. As a theatre actress, she has starred alongside Mercedes Ruehl (Academy Award, Tony, and Golden Globe winner) in a showcase of the musical Uphill Walkers and has performed in cabarets around NYC. She was also in Dance Nation as Connie as the only undergraduate chosen to perform alongside Northwestern's MFA Theatre actors, and in the Waa-Mu Show, a Northwestern tradition with alumni such as Brian d'Arcy James and Heather Headley.
